Audrey Kilpatrick, who has served as Galt Joint Union High School District's chief business official since 2007, began a new job Monday in Placer County.

She is Western Placer Unified School District's new assistant superintendent for business and support services. The K-12 district is quite a bit larger than Galt's with 11 schools and about 6,500 students, according to the district's website.

In her new position, she will oversee departments, including budgeting, finance, transportation and food services.

Kilpatrick, who has served as the interim superintendent in Galt in the past, made the announcement earlier this month.

Someone from the Sacramento County Office of Education has been filling in until a permanent replacement can be found, according to Superintendent Matthew Roberts.

The district will begin interviews shortly after Friday when applications are due.

Should graduations return to the Grape Bowl?

Lodi Unified leaders are moving Lodi and Tokay high school graduations from the Grape Bowl to the Spanos Center at UOP in Stockton. They cite limited seating, costs and unpredictable weather at the Grape Bowl. But others say graduations at the Grape Bowl are an important Lodi tradition, and one reason many supported renovating the stadium. What do you think?
