Rep. Jerry McNerney, D-Stockton, was presented the National Farmers Union’s Golden Triangle Award, the organization’s highest legislative honor.

The annual award is presented to members of Congress who have demonstrated leadership and support policies that benefit America’s family farmers, ranchers, fishermen and rural communities, according to McNerney’s office.

McNerney was included among this year’s Golden Triangle recipients for his leadership on a variety of issues, including votes on the farm bill and related amendments, according to a news release from McNerney’s office. The award was to be presented Tuesday night at a reception during the union’s annual legislative fly-in visit to Washington.

Should graduations return to the Grape Bowl?

Lodi Unified leaders are moving Lodi and Tokay high school graduations from the Grape Bowl to the Spanos Center at UOP in Stockton.
