A passenger in a black pickup truck was extricated and transported to San Joaquin General Hospital with major injuries, after an accident at about 2:10 p.m. Saturday on West Peltier Road between Thornton and Ray roads, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The accident happened after the driver of the pickup apparently lost control while heading west on Peltier Road, overcorrected, veered left across the road and overturned in a ditch, according to a CHP report.
