I was walking from Safeway on Lodi Ave down route of Pine St., when a car full of Mexican kids pulled up along side of me and siad, "Whatcha say to me, punk?". I knew these guys mean trouble. One of them jumped out and then the other 3 jumped out. I managed to put 3 down but the 4th knocked me down and now all 4 we kicking and punching me as I was down. I felt something sharp pull out of my back twice. I didn't feel the knife plunge in, but when it was pulled out. They jumped back in their car and took off. I started to walk home, which was a few houses away, and I started to black out from the wound. The knife went between the ribs and punchured my lung and I was drowning in my own blood. Then the car came back and pulled over. The guys got back out and I know they didn't come back to apologize, I think they came back to finish me off. But by the Grace of God, a cop came around the corner and the Mexican kids jumped back in their car and took off again. I told the police guy that they stabbed me and the police took off and went into a pursuit. I almost didn't make it, but I did. This was in 1989 and I left my home town of Lodi. Today, I see it hasn't got any better. Liberals must see that their policies of political correctness is killing this country. Left Wingers promote violence and discourse and they pander to the criminals. They don't spank or disipline their children at all, so they leave their homes which are devoid of any basic family and moral standards, values, and principles that is breaking families apart. California has become a communist state and that is one of the reasons I left California. Now, because of liberal politics and policies, California is going broke and faultering. Think of this, radical Islam is infiltrating Lodi, gangs are growing, Kayensian Economics is crushing evrything of any value in California/ USA. Conservative principles and basic moral values will bring back this state and this country. Remember, when they say "PROGRESSIVES" they do not mean to progress to be a better country. It means Progressive like a cancer. To destroy slowly, un-noticeably, incramentally from within. We have self-proclaimed Progressive Democrat (98% taken over) and Progressive Republican (near half of the party taken over) in our government. We have a Marxist Professor of Constitutional Law as our President (Democratic Socialist) and he is forcing the Progressive Agenda to collaps America. Since Woodrow Wilson (Father of Progressivism) they have passed socialist policies that were design to, in time, to collaps our economy, our culture, our country. (The New Deal by Progressive Democrat, FDR). People need to wake up and break the Progressives and expose them for their deceptive tactics to fool the people. Only the clueless useful idiots (Occupy Protesters) are being used by Communist Revolutionaries and these people can't even pass a Civics Test. Do your homework. Start off by reading Obamas 2 books, get an idea where his head is at. Read of the Democrats racist pass and how they are fooling minorities since 1964. Research or Google, WHAT POLITICAL PARTY FOUNDED THE KKK and WHAT POLITICAL PARTY BLOCKED THE 13TH, 14TH, 15TH AMENDMENTS AND THE CIVIL RIGHTS ACT. This will be the start of your journey to awareness of the true facts. These facts were not from the media. They are from Documented transcripts of historical court proceedings. Non bias

I'm not privy to what Ric said that STILL has Ms. Bobin up in arms. Since he has only posted 28 times he quickly learned to be careful. THANK YOU RIC. As for Ms. Bobin, she keeps her comments just below the LNS's radar enough that they just consider her an irritant. Over 1200 posts later and she still writes mainly to irritate people. She in no way has any room to judge Ric. I'm no angel. But, I don't make it a point on any post to irritate unless it's in response to someone irritating me.

Ms Bobin stated...Why is "ric flair" still commenting here? Obviously, the LNS has different rules for different people.
Why is Joanne Bobin still posting here? Most likely because Lodi News Sentinel management is fair and opened minded to let all types of people post...even someone like Ms Bobin who thinks most people in Lodi are bigots.

"Ric"
1. The goal of LPD is to make people comfortable enough to trust them. These kids will never go to the cops to report a crime, provide information or seek help if they fear the cops will be "crackin heads" or have cracked heads of people they know. It may be one step forward, but it is also three steps back.
2. I do not think you or the bulk Lodi citizens are bulletproof. "Openly smackin' gangsters around" could very well end your life.
3. Thank you to all the hard working officers who are diligently working to keep our community and children safe. I sincerely hope this new program works.
