Galt Joint Union Elementary School District Superintendent Karen Schauer will earn an annual salary of $145,000 under a new three-year contract approved by the school board Wednesday. She did not receive a raise.
However, any previously instituted furlough days have been removed from the contract. It runs through the end of June 2016, and also includes 14 sick days and 22 vacation days.
Schauer just completed her sixth year as superintendent.
Also on Wednesday, trustees approved the $32 million budget for 2013-14 with revenue reflecting an anticipated 60 fewer students. The district receives federal money based on its average per-pupil daily attendance.
