The Lodi Unified School District board of trustees held a public hearing Tuesday on an easement issue regarding the Lockeford School addition project and approved $89,000 for emergency roof repairs at Lodi Middle School without discussion.

Although trustees did talk about proposed budget changes, they are dedicating an entire meeting next week to the issue. It was originally scheduled as a study session, but at Tuesday's meeting they renamed it a special session so that they could provide input on anticipated future cuts. That meeting is set for 6 p.m. next Tuesday, and is open to the public.

About two weeks ago now somebody stole my YES on Prop 8 sign, as well as my neighbor's sign. A few days before theirs was stolen, their first one was vandalized, sliced up the middle and the wires bent. Because of somebody's illegal act, and very hostile I might add due to the sign being vandalized, myself and my neighbor now bring our signs in at night. It's a shame that we can't give our opinion, which is protected under the First Amendment, without fear of reprisal. Not only did somebody steal, but the person(s) trespassed well into our yard in order to do their stealling. What concerns me is the act of aggression that was evident on the vandalized sign. If somebody could cut a sign in half, what could he/she do to a human? And the signs are not just limited to Yes on Prop 8 and McCain, my husband and I have seen Bob Johnson signs vandalized and tossed into the streets in the surrounding areas where we live and take our daily walks.

Just goes to show how intelligent the people who oppose 8 and McCain are. I don't see Obama signs coming down. Hope they really get all the facts before they VOTE !

Wow angry liberals are stealing election signs what a surprise. Notice how you never see Obama signs being stolen. Conservatives have too much class plus they are busy being productive members of the community unlike libs.
