U.S. Marshals arrested a suspect wanted on suspicion of shooting a Lodi man in the face in 2011.
Thomas Myers, 21, who was apprehended in Vallejo on Thursday, is the second suspect in custody in connection with a shooting that took place on July 28, 2011 on Rutledge Drive, said Detective Larry Fluty of the Lodi Police Department.
Myers, along with a juvenile already in custody, and a third suspect are accused of kicking in the victim’s apartment door and pistol-whipping one victim inside. According to witnesses, the suspects stole marijuana and shot another victim in the face.
The three suspects escaped. The gunshot victim survived the shooting.
Lodi police arrested the juvenile suspect on Aug. 28, 2011, Fluty said.
Lodi detectives knew Myers fled town and informed the U.S. Marshals that he was a high priority, Fluty said.
A U.S. Marshals task force and a Solano County Sheriff’s apprehension unit conducted a probation search of Myers’ home and arrested him.
Inside they found a semi-automatic handgun, a scoped rifle and MAC-10, ammunition and methamphetamine, Fluty said.
Marshals also arrested two more individuals on suspicion of possessing methamphetamine.
