County officials will recognize San Joaquin County Sheriff Steve Moore, who was elected California State Sheriffs' Association’s newest Sergeant-at-Arms, during today’s Board of Supervisors meeting with a certificate acknowledging his position.
California Gov. Jerry Brown swore in Moore and three other sheriffs from counties within California to their new positions during a banquet in June. With this position, Moore ultimately will move through the ranks and serve as the CSSA president in 2018, according to Deputy Les Garcia, spokesman for the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office.
