A 19-year-old Lodi man and an 18-year-old from Manteca were arrested Saturday night on suspicion of impersonating a police officer and carrying an imitation firearm, according to the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office.
Marcus Bradford, of Lodi, and Kyle Clogston, of Manteca, were dressed in police uniforms when they arrived at a party in the 22400 block of South Manteca Road, according to a sheriff’s report. They allegedly found partygoers in an orchard behind the host’s property.
Bradford also wore what looked like a police officer’s badge on his chest, according to the report. They both carried multiple air-soft rifles and pistols with orange tips painted over black, which made them look like real firearms, the sheriff’s office reported.
Bradford and Clogston were booked in San Joaquin County Jail on suspicion of impersonating an officer, wearing what looked like a peace officer’s badge and possessing an imitation firearm.
A juvenile male stayed in the car and didn’t portray a police officer, according to the sheriff’s office. He was counseled and released to his father.
