Lodi resident Danielle Duffy, 53, has been identified by the Lodi Police Department as the driver of a 2011 Chevrolet Corvette that crashed into another vehicle in a violent collision early Sunday morning.
The accident took place shortly after 12:10 a.m. Sunday when Duffy — while allegedly under the influence of alcohol — struck another vehicle at the intersection of Kettleman Lane and Lower Sacramento Road.
The three people in the vehicle Duffy struck sustained minor injuries, said Lt. Tod Patterson of the Lodi Police Department.
The accident occurred as the Corvette was driving south on Lower Sacramento Road and struck a 1994 Pontiac Bonneville, which was headed north on Lower Sacramento Road and making a left onto Kettleman, police said.
The Corvette was driving faster than 100 mph at the time of the crash, police said.
Duffy remains hospitalized in serious condition, police said. The incident is still under investigation and police would not speculate on what kind of charges she could be facing.
