Financial disclosure statements released Thursday reveal the sponsors of Lodi City Council candidates.

Incumbents Larry Hansen and Susan Hitchcock are leading the fund-raising effort. Jane Lea and write-in candidate Dennis Haugan are self-financing their campaigns and are not required to file financial disclosure statements.

Three political action committees that have formed to support or oppose Lodi ballot measures also disclosed their finances. Lodi Citizens for Public Facilities and Lodi Firefighters PAC both support Measure G, which would levy a quarter-cent sales tax to pay for sports facilities and emergency services. The Clean Water Coalition of Lodi is seeking to defeat Measure H, which would repeal the city's water rate increases.

Following is a list of all the individuals, with their profession if known, and groups that have donated $100 or more to the candidates and committees since the beginning of the year. Donations of less than $100 do not have to be reported and account for the difference between total funds received and reported donor contributions.

Should graduations return to the Grape Bowl?

Lodi Unified leaders are moving Lodi and Tokay high school graduations from the Grape Bowl to the Spanos Center at UOP in Stockton. They cite limited seating, costs and unpredictable weather at the Grape Bowl. But others say graduations at the Grape Bowl are an important Lodi tradition, and one reason many supported renovating the stadium. What do you think?
