This news story shocks and saddens me. I moved from Stockton five years ago because of violence like this. I invested in the city of Lodi, buying my first house here because I believed that Lodi was different than Stockton. Now, with the level of homelessness and gang violence present in the downtown area, when will Lodi learn? Lodi needs to start taking the violence and vagrancy situation downtown seriously now, or our budding downtown will begin to die again. I don't want Lodi to become "Stockton North".

Two 14 year old "kids" that want to be gangsters, trying to impress the older gangsters are on the fast track to no where. There life is over before it got started, shame, there is a possibility they could have contributed to the community. Using a shotgun, a very nasty weapon and depending what kind of shot is used can remove a limb with little or no effort. One thing for sure, all gangs and gangsters are cowards and it seems it is always 6 to 1-2 when searching for someone to beat up or worse. [sad]
