Lodi police have released information regarding a suspect who is believed to have shot a Lodi man late Tuesday on the Eastside of Lodi.

The suspect, according to the Lodi Police Department's Facebook page, is a black man who was wearing a ski mask when he repeatedly shot at a man who was visiting a business on the 1000 block of East Vine Street around 9 p.m. on Tuesday.

The victim, who suffered multiple but non-life threatening gunshot wounds, has been identified by police as Luis Lemuz, 25.

Police stated on their Facebook page Wednesday that Lemuz was visiting after hours at a business, 1023 E. Vine St., Suite J, when the shooting occurred.

The incident occurred at a back warehouse that is not related to G.P.S. Auto Solutions, as the police had previously suspected.

G.P.S. Auto Solutions is not associated with the back warehouse or the shooting incident.

The shooting occurred around 9:01 p.m. on Tuesday when police responded to a 911 call that a man had been shot by an attacker.

Police said it has been determined that the shooting was not gang related.

The investigation is ongoing.

Anyone with information on this case is encouraged to contact Lodi Police Department Detective Nick Rafiq at 209-333-6747 or Crime Stoppers at 209-333-6771.

Should graduations return to the Grape Bowl?

Lodi Unified leaders are moving Lodi and Tokay high school graduations from the Grape Bowl to the Spanos Center at UOP in Stockton. They cite limited seating, costs and unpredictable weather at the Grape Bowl. But others say graduations at the Grape Bowl are an important Lodi tradition, and one reason many supported renovating the stadium. What do you think?
