Lodi, Galt churches to hold services Thanksgiving Eve, Day

Several churches in the Lodi-Galt area plan Thanksgiving Eve services tonight and Thanksgiving morning.

Services tonight include:

Galt Community Service: 7 p.m., Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church, 604 E St., Galt.

Bear Creek Community Church, 11171 N. Lower Sacramento Road, Lodi: 7 p.m. family service.

Zion Reformed Church, 105 S. Ham Lane, Lodi: 7 p.m.

St. Paul Lutheran Church, 701 S. Pleasant Ave., Lodi: 5:30 p.m., followed by pie social in Morton Hall.

Emanuel Lutheran Church, 1540 W. Lodi Ave., Lodi: 7 p.m. Pastors Chris Townsend and Matt Shields will share their stories of Thanksgiving from past to present. Attendees will share what they're thankful for as well. At 6:30 p.m., the Pastors' Pie Time will be held.

The Home Church, 11451 West Lane, Lodi: 5:30 p.m.

Thanksgiving Day services:

Bethel Open Bible Church, 760 S. Ham Lane, Lodi: 9 a.m.

St. John's Episcopal Church, 1055 S. Lower Sacramento Road, Lodi: Holy Eucharist at 9 a.m. Includes Thanksgiving liturgy, prayers and music.

St. Anne's Catholic Church, 215 W. Walnut St., Lodi: 9 a.m. Bring the bread that will be used for your Thanksgiving meal so it can be blessed. Also bring a non-perishable food item to be donated to the Salvation Army.
