Students from Wagner Holt Elementary School presented a science fair Thursday at O'Connor Woods.
These students competed with thousands across America in the annual Science Olympiad.
Residents Paul and Eve Pecchnino spearheaded the event where students explained the science principles involved in their inventions. Their displays included propeller propulsion, the penthathlon group, barge building, bugs, an ocean display, a crime buster, an estimator, hot air balloons, the Mission Possible group, mystery architecture and many more, according to a press release.
As an award to those who have excelled in the science program, the Peccheninos worked with the teachers and the school principal in arranging a field trip to San Francisco's Academy of Sciences on May 17.
Wagner Holt is park of the Lodi Unified School District.
