The Galt Adult School is seeking students to enroll in the next medical assistant class.
The nine-month course is designed to meet and exceed California's requirement standards for both classroom and hands-on medical instruction to become a medical assistant or healthcare professional, according to the course description.
It includes medical terminology, phlebotomy, clinical laboratory procedures and specimen analysis, CPR and first aid, and medical insurance policies and procedures.
Classes begin Jan. 9 and are held Monday through Thursday, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
