- New policy to be discussed
When: Lodi Unified School District Board of Education meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday. The meeting is open to the public.
Where: James Areida Education Support Center, 1305 E. Pine St., Lodi.
Proposed new policy: Available to the public after 5 p.m. Friday on the district’s website, www.lodiusd.net. Click “electronic school board” on the left-hand column, then click July 20 on the calendar on the right side of the page and view the meeting agenda until you find the item regarding social networking. Then click the agenda item, and the proposed policy revision should appear.

The Lodi Unified School District has temporarily suspended its controversial social networking policy until the board of trustees can adopt a new policy.
A revised policy governing student use of Facebook, Twitter and other forms of social media will be proposed at next Tuesday’s school board meeting. The new version to be submitted to the school board will be available for public review at 5 p.m. Friday.
