Stockton resident Marcel Frances Villaron Jr., 64, has been identified by the San Joaquin County Coroner's office as the man who died in a single-vehicle crash on Highway 99 late Wednesday morning.
Villaron Jr.'s. truck rolled over while driving southbound on the highway near Victor Road around 11:15 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
He was traveling on the left-hand shoulder of the highway and was driving about 75 miles per hour at the time of the wreck, according to the CHP.
The vehicle struck a metal guard rail and overturned, before hitting a concrete abutment, police said.
The incident is still under investigation, but the CHP does not believe drugs or alcohol were involved.
Villaron Jr. was wearing his seat belt, officials said.
