Lodi police officers arrested four DUI drivers, cited 26 more and had 10 vehicles towed during Friday night's DUI/driver's license checkpoint and saturation patrols in the 0 block of South Cherokee Lane, according to Lt. Chris Jacobson.

The four DUI arrests were away from the checkpoint location during saturation patrols. One was arrested for driving under the influence of drugs, two were arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and one subject was arrested for possession and transportation of a controlled substance.

Officers screened 591 vehicles and conducted 10 field sobriety tests. Thirteen unlicensed and suspended drivers were ordered to court, Jacobson said.

The checkpoint was funded by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

Should graduations return to the Grape Bowl?

Lodi Unified leaders are moving Lodi and Tokay high school graduations from the Grape Bowl to the Spanos Center at UOP in Stockton. They cite limited seating, costs and unpredictable weather at the Grape Bowl. But others say graduations at the Grape Bowl are an important Lodi tradition, and one reason many supported renovating the stadium. What do you think?
