The following is a list of public meetings in the Lodi and Galt areas this week:


Galt City Council

Key items:

— Receive report on the 2010-12 annual budget.

— Receive the five-year plan for the capital Improvement program.

— Adopt a resolution executing an amendment to the agreement with Van Scoyoc Associates for federal lobbyist services.

When and where: 7 p.m., City Hall, council chambers, 380 Civic Drive, Galt.

Lodi City Council

Key item:

— Continue to receive and review the draft financial plan and budget for fiscal year 2010-11.

When and where: 7 a.m., Carnegie Forum, 305 W. Pine St., Lodi.

Lodi Sister City Committee

Key items:

— Review Lodi News-Sentinel appreciation display that was on March 27 and Hutchins Street Square Memorial Bricks.

— Discuss 2010 Northern California annual conference on Oct. 16 or 23, annual Sister City potluck on Aug. 24 and SCI annual conference on July 29-31 in Albuquerque, N.M.

— Discuss the consulate general of Japan's 50th anniversary members list, the Northern California Sister City website and Lodi Sister City letterhead.

When and where: 6 p.m., Carnegie Forum, 305 W. Pine St., Lodi.

San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors

Key items:

— Consider $478,656 contract with Environmental Science Associates to prepare an environmental impact report for the county General Plan update. The EIR will include analyses of land-use planning, traffic, roads, public transit, agricultural resources, hydrology, water quality, biological resources, aviation and Port of Stockton,

— Consider legal settlements of $170,000 to Monica Christian and $7,000 to Jason Kimball. Christian filed a medical malpractice claim in the death of Shurwick Christian, and Kimball claims defamation against the county Public Health Department. The county counsel's office recommends the settlements because timely economic resolution and release of any potential claims are in the county's best interests.

— Appoint up to three people to the Thornton Community Center board. Only two have applied, Maria Tristao and Eloisa Reyes, both of Thornton.

Lodi Art Advisory Board

Key items:

— Discuss brochure bids, art inventory, Japantown mural dedication, interactive art display, plaques and lighting for public art.

When and where: 1 p.m., Hutchins Street Square Green Room, 125 S. Hutchins St., Lodi.

Galt Joint Union Elementary School District board

Key items:

— Consideration to lay off certain classified employees.

— Approval of memorandum of understanding between the district and the Galt Elementary Faculty Association 2010-11.

— Vote on Superintendent Karen Schauer's contract through June 2013.

When and where: 7 p.m., Galt City Hall, council chambers, 380 Civic Drive, Galt.

Lodi Planning Commission

The regularly scheduled meeting was canceled.

Woodbridge Rural Fire District board

When and where: 3 p.m., fire station, 400 E. Augusta St., Woodbridge.


Woodbridge Municipal Advisory Council

Key items:

— Presentations on new pump house by Lodi Public Works Director Wally Sandelin and new Woodbridge Irrigation District building by district manager Andy Christensen.

— Review MAC financial books by council member Ray Cuenca.

— Presentation on green energy by MAC member Karen Soliz.

When and where: 7-9 p.m., Lodi Elks Lodge, 19071 N. Lower Sacramento Road, Woodbridge.

Galt Commission on Aging

When and where: 5:15 p.m., Galt Parks and Recreation Department, 610 Chabolla Ave., Galt.

San Joaquin County Parks and Recreation Commission

Key item: Tour of county parks to discuss issues (agenda doesn't list the parks).

When and where: Will meet at county park administration building, 11793 N. Micke Grove Road, Lodi. Time not disclosed on agenda.
