    According to the website "Democratic Underground", the top marginal tax rate for the majority of Reagan's 2 terms was 50% for those earning over $175,000 per year. You had to earn less than $37,980 to be in the 28% bracket.

    Interesting word selection to honor a great man … Maybe Newt Gingrich can say some wonderful words of praise for Ted Kennedy on one of his anniverseries.

    01. Reagan lowered the tax rate on the “wealthy” from 70 to 28%
    02. I had trouble with him closing health facilities(when he was governor). I think it was a start of our homeless problems. Those folks used to know where to go when they needed help.
    03. I certainly don't think he was the worst president we had
    04. Ironically, politicians have used Reagan's name to create a system where the top sliver of Americans are becoming wealthier, and the middle class is shrinking
    05. If you want to win, you have to promote tax cuts
