San Joaquin County, averaged 78.8 live births per 1,000 women between 15 and 44 years of age. That's almost 10 percent more than the state average and 12 percent greater than the national average, according to the report.

Wow sounds like everyone is NOW repeating what I have been saying.Your hatred will destroy you....Call it a Culture War, but it is also a psychological war. The Socialist groups , like Answer.org, NCLR, LULAC, ISO, etc., have been creating a PC war that makes anyone who supports American culture, language, and laws, a racist. And if you are not white, or a citizen, and you believe this, you are called a traitor to your own people. I guess I am a traitor to my people because I speak my second language, English, as my 1st language, I support American culture, language and laws. And I am not white. This anti-Americans also protect gangs.

edumacation, cash and postal money orders or western union and payday loan company drafts are pretty hard to trace, too. It's just a sampling of games people play. I see some developers like to play the part-owner game in a certain LLC and next thing you know, he and his partners are branched out into ten different LLC's with twenty others part-owners in twenty other LLC's and the pyramid just begins. Realtors, contractors and family owned construction companies are also involved in these schemes. Their favorite prey is the good ol' boy prevailing wage scheme. They send "master" plumbers, electricians, carpenters or sheetmetal workers on a job and then turn their certified payroll in and, voila, half of those "master" craftsmen turn out to be laborers at 1/3 the wage paid the so called craftsmen. They work with their good ol' boy buddies at city hall to manipulate the certified payrolls and pocket the loose change for themselves, with a split or a favor owed them by their counterparts. There's one local contractor that's notorious for this practice and being watched very closely by labor officials, and another who'll be targeted on all his new projects.Lodi knows this happens.

T & C: So "Yes the GOB knows nothing", and they NEVER have anything to do with illegal laborers in the construction businesses they own. So I AGREE with you. The GOB know nothing, and neither do their employees. One of the favorite methods of paying wages is through "free rent" or bartering rent for wages. drive into the agricultural areas and ask laborers, who pays their rent? Who collects the "rent"? Would you pay real money to live in one of these dumps? No!...and neither to they.A loss on a "vacancy" is a deductible business loss---even if a person just happens to be "squatting" in the hut. No money changes hands, "El Jefe" is happy and we get anchor babies and cheaply built buildings. But that NEVER happens in Lodi?

To T & C: I know GOB's. Here is how its done. GOB "X" will hire company "B" through one of his intermediary businesses. Firm "B's" only "job" is to hire "company C". "Company C" is owned by a close AND trusted friend of GOB "X". It's just like money laundering-- but I like to call it "people laundering" or "income and employment tax avoidance". Its ALL about plausible deniability. So back to the example: Company "C" is run by a person who is bilingual and knows how to get the work done out of illegal aliens, AT THE LOWEST COST. That means cash payment or trades of "work for rent"....the property just happens to be owned by GOB "X". This company "C" is known as "El Jefe" El numero uno del RANCHO GRANDE GOB en La Ciudad Lodi. El Jefe's job is to GET THE JOB DONE CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP, so inspections can pass, pass, pass. The building materials are also cheap, cheap, cheap, but that's another story. Does GOB "X" know anything? "I know nothing!" Yes, the GOB knows nothing.

I've done my research, now you do yours and get back to me soon. They're open Saturdays and Sundays and pay most employees straight time if they work less than 40 hours. I'll bet it's those damn unions faults.

See for yourself how many of these companies have used the e-verify system. Do as I have and call and ask them? Or are you afraid? It's going to be mandatory in the near future and I see many red faced employers with the I blame the employment agency or labor contractors. Go ahead, call them Monday. I'll bet they'll tell you they don't even know what e-verify is.

The hiring of illegals is common place throughout California in particular, if and only if... "An employer knows he can get away with it! It has nothing , NOTHING to do with "Gob's"! If illegals could not find cheap jobs in california, not many would stay! The women would to breed ninos, and live off the state, but if the men can't send deniros back home to Mexico, they would return "HOME", where they belong. Many have their home in Jail or prison. The bottom line is cheap jobs will encourage cheap labor workers... End of story!

Until this makes the LNS Front Page, tc, T&C, patton1, educated reader and all his other fake posting names are nothing more then time spent "Chasing his own tail"!

Good Evening Whoa Nellie!! Why don't we ever read about edumacated reader, tc, t&c, patton1, or T&C, ONCE Calling in a "TIP" to the "ICE HOTLINE" about all these businesses that have illegals working for them? WHY? It would make great local news and tc could RUN FOR THE CITY COUNCIL and get rid of all the "Gob's"! To complain and complain about "Imaginary "Gob's" and yet OFFER NO Solution as to how to change it is a waste of too much time on his hands! If tc knows where the illegals are working I want to see PROOF!

The SAC BEE Article says nothing about Lodi or the Lodi city council members! I can't believe you can stay this FIXATED on the "GOBS" Conspiracy theory!

T_&_C- I actually agree with your 1:03pm post. But your forgot "Educate their anchor kids in Spanish." But you are the reasonable t/cOriginal T&C goes on another GOB rant about illegals working in some of Lodi's biggest and best employers. Do you really think that there is a large number of Illegal's working at Cottage, Certain Teed, Thule, etc? If I didn't already know that you are a consiracy theorist I'd say you are on some heavy meds for your mental state (or lack there of).

Read today's Sacramento Bee if you think it's just the labor contractors who are the bamboozlers. I'll bet there isn't an employer that has more than a dozen employees that has the gumption to use the e-verify system for their current employees. Cottage Bakery needs to lead the way and be the first to volunteer. The plastics plants next.

dogs, who do you think brought and uses these people, legal and illegal, to Lodi to be their cheap labor pool? Couldn't be the good ol boys that depend on renting their houses to those illegals, built most of those newer homes at $6 an hour that many of you live in, hold all the menial jobs at restaurants, hotels, bakeries, plastic plants, hitch manufacturers and most of the go nowhere and $8 an hour jobs in Lodi. It couldn't be the good old boys could it? Go on one of the good ole boys construction sites here in and around town, they're the only ones still building their little 2000sf fillin commercial jobs just to move money, and see who the employees are and ask them how much they earn. I hope you can speak Spanish or at least half of them don't run away. or you'll never know how your good ol' boys are part of the exploitation process of not only Latinos, but anyone they can scare or bully. Sacramento Bee has a good article about the LEGAL workers brought from Mexico and promised work and if you read that article, you'll see how the system fails usforthegreedy.

We can`t beat them, and I sure don`t want to join them. President Reagan settled the cold war and didn`t fire a shot to do it, he just out spent the Russians and broke them. Now it seems the same thing is happening, only this time we are being out populated. Looks like in 5 years or less, there will be 10 ameigos fighting for that one $8.00 an hour job. The rest had better hope the land scaping business picks up. Alot of babies and no education equals all the white folks headed for Idaho.

I welcome all legal immigrants, and I have seen many who work twice what many other's put their effort into. Sneaking into America simply to Make a "Anchor Baby", one after another, is a chicken way to stay in America. Illegal immigration means (1) you care nothing about learning about the history of America, (2) that you do not want to learn our laws and customs, (3) That you do not want to learn how to read, write or speak English, (4) that you do not want to asismilate into the country you are SQUATTING ON, and that Breeding babies like rabbits means free rent check, free food, and free medical! We need the Constitution changed.

When they named most cities in California with Spanish names, they were indeed visionary. It IS the heritage...and apparently the destiny, too. I have no problem with that for LEGAL law-abiding emigrants. Indeed, I celebrate it! But the law is completely NUTSO when it comes to AUTOMATICALLY giving citizenship to the offspring of illegals, just because they give birth to kids while illegally in the USA. We no longer NEED new citizens THAT badly, do we?? Change that law...STAT!

T&C, the Latinos that get those good paying jobs are not the same ones who immigrated here recently and have 3-4-5 kids. "These" people/kids dont go to school, have no education, and end up working the drive thru window somewhere. The Latinos getting the jobs you speak of are usually 2nd or 3rd generation Californians, most who immigrated here LEGALLY.I'm disgusted with the illegal alien situation as much as everyone else, but don't throw a blanket over all of the Hispanics. You are being, once again, ignorant to the real situation.

Time to leave Lodi and San Joaquin County before 2010 or work for $8 dollars an hour. Looks like those council and high paying city and government jobs will be taken over by the Latinos, too. What are the good ol' boys going to do when they are outnumbered? I'll LMAO when that happens and hope God wills me to live that long.

No doubt...we'll see a BIG increase in population. That's been predicted for a long time. What has also been predicted isa corresponding drop the demographics related to education and income levels. We'll see what that does for the quality of life here in this already-crowded, already-thirsty, already-strapped, andalready crime-ridden state. Time will tell.
