I think the dog parks are a nice thing but I doubt owners can "clean up" after their dogs in the dark? Dog parks should all be open dusk to dark. Nothing good happens at a park after dark.

I will give you another good one. At the Cutting Edge Martial Arts school, I heard that there were some Olympic hopefuls that just won a big tournament.

Good Grief! You just ran this story a few months ago. How lazy are the reporters at LNS that they report the same thing "repackaged" every few months? There is a lot more going on in the town than dog parks! How about an update on why the water in Lodi stinks when it comes out of the faucet lately?

What is left out of the article is when owners let bigger dogs run free the trouble it can cause. Two of the dog parks are also ball fields (Vinewood and Beckman). At Vinewood durning a practice one of our kids hit a ball and a Husky snagged the ball from left field and ran it back to his owner. At Beckman Just yesterday I was doing a little batting practice with my kid and a pit-bull ran up and started digging into my bucket for a ball. The Pit-bull may have been a sweetheart but it was a couple tense moments since I don't know if the dog was nice or not.

I think dog parks are a great thing and a wonderful community perk, but when kids are involved I am very protective.
