TImothy Healy, grandfather of Lodi City Councilman Bob Johnson, proudly leads the New York City St. Patrick’s Day Parade in 1916 as grand marshal. Healy was part of a controversy over which faction of the Ancient Order of Hibernians should be allowed to stage the event that year.

An article in the New York Times shares the plans for 1916’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade after Coroner Timothy Healy and his supporters in the Ancient Order of Hibernians won the right to lead the event.
