The following is a list of public meetings in the Lodi and Galt areas this week:


Galt Joint Union High School District board

When and where: 6:30 p.m., Galt City Council chambers, 380 Civic Drive.

Lodi City Council shirtsleeve

Key item:

— Receive 2009 annual report from the Lodi Animal Advisory Commission.

When and where: 7 a.m., Carnegie Forum, 305 W. Pine St., Lodi.

Lodi Improvement Committee

Key items:

— Follow up on items from the previous meetings.

— Receive updates on community development, the police department and public works.

When and where: 6 p.m., Carnegie Forum, 305 W. Pine St., Lodi.

San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors

Key items:

— Presentation of $1.2 billion county budget proposal, which is $56.2 million less than the 2009-10 budget. Final budget hearings are scheduled to begin at 1:30 p.m. on June 22.

— Consider lending nonprofit developer Eden Housing $1.1 million to build an 80-unit senior housing complex on Tienda Drive in Lodi. The money comes from the federal HOME and Community Development Block Grant funds.

— Agreement between the county and the Family and Youth Services of San Joaquin County to provide a youth services bureau to serve homeless and runaway youth.

— Consider awarding a $547,825 contract to Teichert Construction to resurface Thornton Road from Highway 12 to 3,200 feet north of the highway.

When and where: 9 a.m., county administration building, 44 N. San Joaquin St., sixth floor, Stockton.

Morada Municipal Advisory Council

When and where: 7 p.m., fire station.


Lodi City Council special meeting

Key item:

— Discuss the possibility of preparing a new redevelopment plan.

When and where: 7 p.m., Carnegie Forum, 305 W. Pine St., Lodi.

Lodi Arts Commission

Key items:

— Discuss grants, elect a chairperson and adjust the number of commission members.

— Receive updates on Art Advisory Board, the Art Hop, Project Lodi Art, Artisan Masters update and Art on the Square.

When and where: Noon, Hutchins Street Square, Thomas Theatre Gallery, 125 S. Hutchins St., Lodi.

Woodbridge Sanitary District board

Key items:

— Request by California Waste Recovery Systems to increase garbage rates by 95 cents, or 4.5 percent, per month.

— District budget for the 2010-11 fiscal year.

— Report on the just-completed sanitary sewer management plan.

When and where: 7 p.m., fire station, 400 E. Augusta St., Woodbridge.

Lodi Planning Commission

The regularly scheduled meeting was canceled.


Woodbridge Irrigation District board

When and where: 9 a.m., district office, 18777 N. Lower Sacramento Road, Woodbridge.

Lockeford Community Services District board

When and where: 9 a.m. old Lockeford schoolhouse, 19456 N. Jack Tone Road.

Liberty Rural Fire District board

When and where: Fire station, 25124 N. Bruella Road, Acampo.

Reclamation District 348 board

When and where: 2 p.m., Croce & Co., 501 W. Weber Ave., fifth floor, Stockton.

Thornton Rural Fire District board

When and where: 25999 N. Thornton Road, Thornton.
