The North San Joaquin Water Conservation District will have its directors sit on a panel and interview candidates for its watermaster position, director Hugh Scanlon said Tuesday. The board held a closed session Tuesday afternoon to discuss the process. Director Mark Beck was absent from the meeting.
To board narrowed its field of candidates at the meeting and will begin intervews in the near future, Scanlon said.
The district's current watermaster, Pete Weinzheimer, announced his retirement last year.
