A planning meeting for the revival of the annual Christmas Ball will be held on Tuesday.

The formal dinner and dance, originally chaired by Norma Burlington in 1984, was the holiday season opener for the community for nearly 20 years.

Revived by the Hutchins Street Square board, the black-tie event will be a fundraiser for Hutchins Street Square and will feature a raffle as well as a live auction. This year, there will also be entertainment by Jules Broussard's orchestra and jazz band, a three-course meal by Wine Valley Catering and a wide selection of Lodi Appellation wines.

The ball will be held on Dec. 7 at Hutchins Street Square.

The meeting will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Lodi Airport Cafe on Jahant Road and Highway 99. Interested volunteers may contact Charlene Lange, event coordinator, at 209-403-8600.
