On Friday afternoon, multiple officers searched for more than an hour before finding and arresting a Lodi man suspected of stealing a vehicle, authorities said.

An officer spotted a 1992 Honda Accord that matched the description of a car reported stolen earlier that day driving east on Davis Road near Peltier Road around 10:36 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.

When the officer pulled the vehicle over, he said Anthony Fugazi, 18, jumped out of the car and fled the scene on foot, according to the CHP.

A juvenile passenger was arrested while other officers responded and set up a perimeter around the area.

It took more than an hour, but officers eventually located Fugazi on the 100 block of East Taddei Road, according to the CHP.

Fugazi was arrested on suspicion of stealing a vehicle and possessing stolen property. The juvenile was arrested on suspicion of receiving stolen property.

Should graduations return to the Grape Bowl?

Lodi Unified leaders are moving Lodi and Tokay high school graduations from the Grape Bowl to the Spanos Center at UOP in Stockton. They cite limited seating, costs and unpredictable weather at the Grape Bowl. But others say graduations at the Grape Bowl are an important Lodi tradition, and one reason many supported renovating the stadium. What do you think?
