There will be a number of programs for children at the Lodi Public Library this week. All programs are free to the public.
Summer Reading Club has started! This year’s theme is “Reading is So Delicious!” Children who read during the summer win prizes. The summer reading club runs through July 31.
Speaking of delicious, learn about honey with Uncle Jer’s Traveling Bee Show. A live beehive will be at the library — also honey samples! Two special shows are Thursday, June 6 at 3:30 and 6 p.m. This show is sponsored by the Friends of the Lodi Library.
Toddler Time for children ages 1 to 3 is at 10 a.m. Wednesday and Thursday in the children’s picture book area.
Preschool Storytime for children ages 3 and up is at 10 a.m. Wednesday and Thursday in the Community Room.
Spanish Storytime is at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Children’s Activity Room.
Family Storytime for all ages is at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Children’s Activity Room.
PAWS to Read is a library program that helps children gain confidence in their reading skills.
Children can read to dogs Fuzzy and Eele and earn a special reading bookmark. Fuzzy is at the library from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sundays, and Eele is at the library from 5 to 7 p.m. on Mondays. The program returns June 3.
Homework Help for students in kindergarten through eighth grade is from 3 to 5 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday in the Children’s Activity Room. Technology Thursday, for students seeking to do computer work, is from 3 to 5:30 p.m. Thursday in the Computer Learning Center.
