Five Liberty Ranch High School students received scholarships at a regional event Friday.

Both Galt Joint Union High School District comprehensive high schools were represented at the greater Sacramento region ACE (Architecture, Construction and Engineering) Awards Banquet, held at the Sacramento Automobile Museum on Friday.

Galt and Liberty Ranch high school teams participated in a project competition alongside nine other high school teams from across the Sacramento region.

Team Galt was one of four teams in the competition that received an award for presentation, while Team Liberty Ranch received five academic scholarships awarded to individual members of the team, according to district Superintendent Matthew Roberts.
