Lodi Police Department
In the 24 hours since 4 p.m. Tuesday, the Lodi Police Department handled 187 calls for service. The following is a sample of calls received by dispatchers:
4:13 p.m.: A family friend who was allowed to drive a vehicle on Sunday never returned the vehicle to The Fountains, 1516 Sylvan Way.
4:21 p.m.: Four people got into a fight at Wal-Mart, 2350 W. Kettleman Lane. Two juveniles were detained inside the store.
4:42 p.m.: Someone was going door to door in the 2200 block of Newbury Circle, trying to sell firewood from a white Ford pick-up. A caller thought he could be a suspect in a series of residential burglaries.
5:19 p.m.: A man abandoned a wrecked car in the 400 block of East Walnut Street, then headed south on Central Avenue.
5:23 p.m.: Someone burglarized a residence in the 300 block of East Tokay Street.
6:06 p.m.: A man in acid-washed jeans was throwing bottles at people near KFC, 820 W. Lodi Ave.
6:53 p.m.: Hours earlier, an unknown man tried to enter a woman's home in the 300 block of Audobon Drive.
8:51 p.m.: Vehicles with loud stereos were driving in the 1100 block of South Central Avenue.
10:12 p.m.: A man thought someone tried to enter his home through the front door in the 2400 block of Cochran Road.
11:17 p.m.: A woman who had been driving badly, and was apparently the victim of a gun brandishing, stopped at Chevron, 2448 W. Kettleman Lane.
1:50 a.m.: A man with a helmet light was digging through trash cans in the 1600 block of Sutter Lane.
8:19 a.m.: Someone vandalized a vehicle by spilling an unknown substance into it when it was parked in the Parking Garage, 2 N. Sacramento St.
9:28 a.m.: A woman in the 400 block of East Locust Street told dispatchers to "send a cop right away; there's a killer here." No arrests were made.
10:41 a.m.: Several people, including a woman who was arrested last week, were making threats and were on their way to start a fight at Antonio's, 710 S. Beckman Road.
10:51 a.m.: Property valued at more than $400 was stolen from a bus at U-Haul, 450 N. Cherokee Lane.
2:10 p.m.: Eastbound Kettleman Lane traffic was blocked when a big rig lost a tire near Highway 99.
2:31 p.m.: Someone was assaulted at Lodi High School, 3 S. Pacific Ave.
3:20 p.m.: Juveniles were waiting to beat up another kid in the 2400 block of Elmwood Court.
3:22 p.m.: A man posing as a police officer got into a fight with another man at El Rancho Motel, 603 N. Cherokee Lane.
3:40 p.m.: After a fight with relatives, a man stole a tan Toyota Camry in the 900 block of Elliott Place.
3:44 p.m.: Lodi Detail Shop, 929 S. Cherokee Lane, was burglarized.
3:52 p.m.: A man's home in the 400 block of East Walnut Street was burglarized while he was in jail.
Galt Police Department
In the 70 hours since 8:30 a.m. Monday, the Galt Police Department handled 155 calls. The following is a sample of calls received by dispatchers:
9:02 a.m.: Someone broke into a vehicle in the 800 block of Tudor Street.
11:49 a.m.: A 1998 Chevrolet Suburban was stolen at Hudson Bay Apartments, 1003 Lake Park Drive, after the driver left it running.
10:58 a.m.: A burglary took place at Secure Self-Storage, 535 Industrial Drive.
5:14 p.m.: Someone broke into a vehicle in the 600 block of First Street.
12:04 a.m.: A stolen vehicle was found at Royal Delta Inn, 1040 N. Lincoln Way. The subject ran away from officers and was unable to be located.
6:36 a.m.: A 1995 Honda Civic was stolen in the 900 block of Elk Hills Drive.
