Russ Taylor with the East Bay Municipal Utility District gave a report on rainfall so far this season during the Woodbridge Irrigation District board of directors meeting on Thursday.
The rainfall from September to December was slightly above average, and so is the snowpack in the Sierra, said district manager Andy Christensen. That doesn't stop him from worrying about the amount of rain that could come in the next two months.
"If we have a good January, the prospects for the water year become brighter," he said.
The district is also looking at refinancing some of their debt remaining on the dam and the fish screen. They are talking with a bond consultant, with possible action to come in April.
