Lodi Unified School District still has a number of students in seventh through 12th grade who have not shown proof of receiving the whooping cough booster before starting this school year.
A 30-day reprieve given by the state expired Sept. 1.
As of Tuesday, however, 80 students still had not shown proof, according to Superintendent Cathy Nichols-Washer.
Until they do, they will not be allowed on campus, under the state's new rule.
Since those students are not attending school, it is costing the district about $2,700 per day in state funding.
Meanwhile, the deadline for Galt students to have complied is nearing.
