The Galt Joint Union High School District board of trustees is seeking input on what characteristics it should look for in a new superintendent. The community is invited to a forum next week to share what personal and professional qualities would make an incoming superintendent a good match for Galt.

Superintendent Daisy Lee has announced she is retiring at the end of the school year.

Rich Thome and Rene Townsend of Leadership Associates were selected to advise the board during the replacement process.

Individual input from members of the community including parents, employees and others interested in the district is desired. People may provide input as individuals, groups or during the open forum.

Input may be offered through fax, letter, phone or email. Additionally, an online survey is available by clicking the following links: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/5DMT2CB for English and https://www. surveymonkey.com/s/5YKR3SY for Spanish.

To speak by phone to Thome, call 760-771-4277. Send a fax to 760-771-4277 or an email to lhunt@leadershipassociates.org.

The forum will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Liberty Ranch High School Media Center, 12595 Marengo Road, Galt.

Why?...we know what we will be getting...a weak Superintendent that is looking to retire in a few years...who will kowtow to the kowtows...will be voted in 3-2 and will leave the District in a much worse condition...just like we have had since Dr Hoffman...

The District is graduating just 9% of it's students who will be able to enroll into a four-year college without taking bonehead classes (which they will have to pay for). The state and county averages are around 36%. Aside from that dismal demarcation the District will be entering it third year of State Program Improvement requirements...soon to be taken over by the State. Sorry.
