The following is a list of public meetings in the Lodi and Galt areas this week:

Monday

Lodi Animal Advisory Commission

Key items:

  • Review Animal Shelter statistics.
  • Discuss how to reply to Lodi City Council requests.
  • Complete the commission’s annual report.
  • Receive an answer to a question on Community Development Block Grant funding map changes.

When and where: 6 p.m., Lodi Police Department, Community Room, 215 W. Elm Street, Lodi.

Lodi Library Board of Trustees

Key items:

  • Announce the Bob Hildreth Library Volunteer of the Year.
  • Review and discuss the 2012 to 2013 budget.
  • Receive information on phase three renovation project.
  • Discuss a strategic planning and goals setting session.
  • Review and discuss the bulletin board and handouts policy.
  • Receive reports on finances, the private sector, the Friends of the Lodi Public Library, the Lodi Public Library Foundation and the library director’s report.

When and where: 5:30 p.m., Lodi Public Library, 201 W. Locust Street, Lodi.

Greater Lodi Area Youth Commission

The regularly scheduled meeting is canceled.

Tuesday

Lodi City Council shirtsleeve session

Key item:

  • Discuss other post-employment benefits.

When and where: 7 p.m., Carnegie Forum, 305 W. Pine St., Lodi.

Lodi Improvement Committee

Key item:

  • Continuing public forum on homeless issues in Lodi.
  • Receive reports from community development, the police department and public works.

When and where: 6 p.m., Carnegie Forum, 305 W. Pine St., Lodi.

Galt Joint Union High School District

Key items:

  • Vote on classified employee reductions.
  • Review and discuss other areas of budget reductions for next school year.
  • Receive information presentations on the agriculture programs at both Liberty Ranch and Galt high schools.

When and where: 6:30 p.m., Galt City Council chambers, 380 Civic Drive, Galt.

San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors

Key items:

  • Recognition of Craig Ogata, retiring parks and recreation director.
  • Public hearing about proposed water rate increase for Morada North and Wilkinson Manor maintenance districts in Morada.
  • Mid-year budget reports for San Joaquin General Hospital and the county as a whole.

When and where: 9 a.m., board chambers, 44 N. San Joaquin St., sixth floor, Stockton.

Wednesday

Lodi Arts Commission

Key items:

  • Discuss grants submitted for approval for the Worlds of Wonder Museum and the International Ballet Theatre Institute.
  • Discuss the Lodi Arts Commission 30th anniversary, the 2012 Taco Truck Cook-off, the commission and Lodi City Council dinner on May 22 and art on School Street.
  • Receive reports on the Art Advisory Board, Project Lodi Art, Art Hop and the Arts Calendar and website.

When and where: 1 p.m., Carnegie Forum, 305 W. Pine St., Lodi.

Lodi Planning Commission

Key items:

  • Consider a request for a use permit and Alcoholic Beverage Control License for a winery with four tasting rooms at 14 S. School Street.
  • Discuss a request for a use permit to allow Anytime Fitness, to open a fitness center in a 4,050 square foot building at 210 N. Ham Lane.
  • Consider a request for a use permit to establish a retail landscape supply business and a collection center for wood and yard waste materials for off-site processing at 1101 E. Lodi Avenue.
  • Discuss a request to rezone two properties at 515 and 617 Lower Sacramento Road.

Lodi Site Plan and Architectural Committee

The regularly scheduled meeting is canceled.

Galt Planning Commission

When and where: 7 p.m., Galt City Council chambers, 380 Civic Drive, Galt

Thursday

Galt Beautification Committee

The regularly scheduled meeting is canceled.

Friday

San Joaquin County Local Agency Formation Commission

Key item:

  • Request by city of Lodi to annex 32.5 acres on Harney Lane. The annexation would mean the acreage would no longer be in the Woodbridge Fire and San Joaquin County Resource Conservation districts.

When and where: 10 a.m., Board of Supervisors chambers, 44 N. San Joaquin St., sixth floor, Stockton.
