Regional Roundup Woman seriously injured in crash

A 22-year-old Lodi woman was seriously injured eartly Saturday morning whenshe veered off the street and struck a pole, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The woman, whose name was not disclosed, was driving a 1988 Oldsmobile north on West lane, just south of Ham Lane, at 5:45 a.m., according to a CHP report. She was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.

No other information was available Sunday afternoon.

Police to hold public viewing of stolen items

The Lodi Police Department has scheduled a public viewing of property stolen in the Lodi, Galt and Stockton areas from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the police station, 215 W. Elm St.

Victims must bring copies of police reports detailing the theft of items or photos, receipts or any other article that establishes ownership of stolen property. Victims must also bring a photo identification.

The property mainly consists of vehicle stereo components and household electronics such as computers and GPS units, according to the police department.

Mosquito repellent to be given out in Galt

The Sacramento-Yolo Mosquito and Vector Control District will distribute boxes of mosquito repellent towelettes while supplies last to Galt and other Sacvramento and Yolo county communities engaging in outdoor activities in honor of National Night Out on Tuesday.

National Night Out focuses on crime and drug prevention, and many neighborhoods come together for outdoor social gatherings during times of peak mosquito activity.

Lone Galt incumbent files for school board

In Galt, Art Oelsner is the only incumbent on either the elementary or high school board to submit candidacy papers. He did so on July 19.

Mark Beck filed for the same seat last Monday.

Fellow high school board incumbents Terry Parker-Owning and Dennis Richardson have not announced whether they will seek re-election and have not filed papers. At this time, there are no challengers to their seats.

At the elementary level, too, there are three open seats. Tina Skinner, Donna Fluty-Settles and Robert Ellis have not yet filed, and there is only one challenger. Mark Utile filed last Monday.

The deadline to file is 5 p.m. Friday.
