Like the Grinch from Dr. Seuss' children's book, thieves tried to steal Christmas again Wednesday night.
For the second night in a row, thieves broke a cafeteria window at Williams Middle School, where Brighter Christmas volunteers kept boxes of toys and food for needy families. This time, the thieves failed to get away with the goods, and their devious efforts didn't stop Brighter Christmas volunteers from passing out food and toys to families Thursday morning.
