Lodi Unified School District trustees are expected to appoint high school assistant principals and an elementary vice principal at Tuesday’s board meeting.
In other action Tuesday, the school board will:
- Add almost $10 million to the revised district budget to reflect state budget funding to education.
- Conduct a public hearing on topics that management and the teachers union plan to negotiate in their labor contract for the 2013-14 school year. The Lodi Education Association wants to negotiates salary and other compensation, employee benefits and class size. District management wants to negotiate compensation based on state funding and potential changes to personnel transfers and grievance procedure. No dollar amounts have been determined, said teachers union President Jeff Johnston. Tonight’s public hearing is based solely on topics to be discussed, he said.
- A report on the Earth Keepers Club at Heritage Elementary School in Lodi.
- Consider a provisional internship permit for an Italian teacher.
Tuesday’s meeting will begin at 7 p.m. at the James Areida Education Support Center, 1305 E. Vine St., Lodi.
