An abandoned six-unit apartment complex on Lodi's Eastside burned to the ground early Monday morning, according to the Lodi Fire Department.
The complex was in an alley at 115 E. Lockeford St., Fire Chief Dan Haverty said. Police officers at the scene at 12:50 a.m. when they noticed that two-thirds of the building was burning through the roof, Haverty said.
Firefighters prevented the blaze from spreading to other structures.
