If you want to avoid cancer, don’t eat meat or dairy products. So says Charlotte Gerson, 91, one of several speakers during a three-day Health and Healing Crusade at the Lodi Grape Festival Grounds.
“To get it to function, we to nourish our bodies,” Gerson said Sunday, the final day of the crusade put on by the Modern Manna organization. “We are designed by the good Lord to eat vegetarian food.”
People often eat milk and dairy products like milk and cheese because the practice is passed on from generation to generation, Gerson said. Protein needs to come from natural foods like fruits and vegetables.
“If we eliminate animal protein, the (physical) weaknesses don’t come up,” Gerson said.
For the past 30 years, Gerson has lectured in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Europe and Australia.
The crusade, an annual event in Lodi by Danny Vierra, included vegan food recipes and speakers who discuss detoxifying your body, health-related inaccuracies in social media, health reform, healing what are considered incurable diseases and preparing for the second coming of Jesus Christ, as depicted in the Book of Revelation in the Bible.
