Lodi’s Abby Racco fights to save palm trees
An "X" marks palm trees on Hutchins Street in Lodi on Friday, July 6, 2012. The trees will be removed to allow the widening of the street. Abby Racco hopes to find people to transplants the trees before they are disposed of by the city.

It would be nice if these trees could be relocated to Lodi Lake or maybe Roget park.
As for widening a couple blocks of this street at a cost of one million dollars---is this really going to accomplish anything more than making a few more parking places for Hutchins Square and maybe make room for a bike lane?
