The "monster?" Oh yeah, fear and the hatred it breeds is a dangerous thing. Such a pity.

I'm sure glad someone has the courage to stand up against the monster.

Jerome R. Kinderman wrote "I suspect that just as in Lodi, fear and hatred (not environmental concerns) are what is driving these groups."Well, Jerome, like most Lodians the Galt group obviously doesn't want the dumpy monstrosity, and all of the problems that come to town with it, swallowing up their city. It's a good move on their part. Keep it up Galt Citizens for Sensible Planning.

I would submit that Galt Citizens for Sensible Planning may be doing what they "believe" to be the right thing, although I do find it curious that their tactics are not too unlike the anti-Wal-Mart groups who also claimed to be putting Lodi citizens ahead of the evil corporate super chain.Of course everyone is entitled to their own opinion and to voice it as they find appropriate. On the other hand, as Galt's drama unfolds it will be interesting to learn what their true motives are. I suspect that just as in Lodi, fear and hatred (not environmental concerns) are what is driving these groups.

Galt Citizens for Sensible Planning is doing what they know is the right thing to do. More power to them.

Cogito: Is that really all you've got? LOL! Oh ya... you're from Galt. No more explanation needed. :-)

Lodian, for proof that Lodi people not being any smarter or more sophisticated than Galt people, one need look no further than your blogs.

I love the name "Galt Citizens for Sensible Planning" I agree with PAL,if we were talking about any other business, these people would probably be out on street corners singing the praises. A group like this is partly the reason Galt is still behind the times . I hope Walmart doesn't give up. 99% of Galt wants this store. Look at the $$$ it will bring the city. If you can have a POT store, anything is possible. The INS reps need to cruise Lincoln Way........

T&C. doncha think it's those darn pesky dozens of union grocery chains there in Galt that are behind this bamboozlement of yet another Walmart? You'll see just how much corruption is behind this issue in Galt, too.

Galt Citizens for Sensible Planning- you can call yourselves GASP...lol.If this was a Home Depot or Costco being built you would not see these challenges (look at Lodi). It is sad that the wants of a few weigh more than the wants of many. You are only taking money away from your town, which is no longer that little town it used to be.

It's beginning to sound like all you have to do is turn over any rock on a Wal Mart building site to find a Lawyer. Just another opportunity to drain a few fools wallets engaging in an exercise in futility.

We knew this would happen. If they would build the galt walmart I would go there, but instead I'll still be driving to Lodi or Elk Grove giving them the tax dollers for thier town instead. You have to bring Galt out of the dark ages and put in somewhere we can really shop.
