Lodi resident Linda Hammons is one of eight women in San Joaquin County who will be awarded the Susan B. Anthony Award by the county’s Commission on the Status of Women. The awards will be presented at the 39th annual Susan B. Anthony Banquet dinner on Feb. 15.
Hammons is being recognized for community service and was nominated by the Women’s Center-Youth and Family Services. She has been involved in Lodi community service projects and is a peer counselor for sexual assault and domestic violence victims at the Lodi office of the Women’s Center. She was also chosen for the Lodi Community Hall of Fame in 2013.
