A stolen vehicle pursuit ended with both subjects treed by dogs.

Lodi police officers located a stolen vehicle registered in Concord driving south on Cherokee Lane at 1:30 a.m. on Sept. 1.

Officer Ryan LaRue attempted to conduct a felony traffic stop, but said the car sped around the city and immediate county at speeds ranging from 50 to 80 miles per hour.

The car stopped at the 10000 block of North Alpine, where the driver and passenger fled into a nearby orchard. Officers deployed K-9 units, and Allexuz Dikes of Antioch climbed into a tree to avoid the dog, police said. She was arrested from there. The driver was not immediately found.

After officers cleared the scene, they received a 911 call from a neighboring property owner. The woman's dog had treed the driver, Jacob Mason of Antioch, on the roof of her car.

Both suspects were arrested and booked into the Lodi jail.

Should graduations return to the Grape Bowl?

Lodi Unified leaders are moving Lodi and Tokay high school graduations from the Grape Bowl to the Spanos Center at UOP in Stockton. They cite limited seating, costs and unpredictable weather at the Grape Bowl. But others say graduations at the Grape Bowl are an important Lodi tradition, and one reason many supported renovating the stadium. What do you think?
