University of the Pacific students help renovate Habitat for Humanity house

Paint rollers were rolling. Hammers pounded nails. The sounds of a vacuum sucking up dust and dirt and laughter all filled the air at a home on the 300 block of North Stockton Street.

Fifty-six students, all attending University of the Pacific, got down and dirty Friday morning to help Habitat for Humanity freshen up a home to help a family realize the American dream of homeownership.
