Leroy Ornellas to speak to Latina Women

San Joaquin County Supervisor Leroy Ornellas, a candidate for the open 5th Senate District seat, will speak to the Latinas United Republican Women Federated at 5:30 p.m. March 14 at U.J's Family Restaurant, 7628 Pacific Ave., Stockton.

The Tracy Republican, a longtime dairy farmer, will face two current legislators in this year's election, Assemblyman Bill Berryhill, R-Stockton, and Assemblywoman Cathleen Galgiani, D-Livingston.

The 5th Senate District on the redistricing maps adopted last year include Lodi and Galt. Ornellas was recently endorsed by Manteca Mayor Willie Weatherford, former Manteca Mayor Jack Snyder and Manteca City Council members Steve DeBrum, Vince Hernandez and Debby Moorhead.
