GrapeLine bus service will soon run until 7:15 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9:15 p.m. on Saturday and 4:15 p.m. on Sunday. Dial-A-Ride will run through 4:30 p.m. on Sunday. Madeline Woznick, 13, and her swimming coach Cindy Griffin were gifted with a proclamation thanking Woznick for her efforts to have Oct. 6 proclaimed National Coaches Day. Rep. Jerry McNerney, D-Stockton, recently brought her idea to the House of Representatives in Washington, D.C., and will bring her letter to President Obama on Sept. 9. Woznick is requesting letters in support of Coaches Day be sent to the White House.

Lodi residents applauded a city council decision to extend GrapeLine and Dial-A-Ride hours as part of a new five-year plan for city public transit.
