The Lodi Unified School District board will consider approving extra lessons to teach safe online habits in a special meeting on Tuesday prior to the regular board meeting and closed session.

Lead curriculum administrator Lisa Kotowski will share the committee's recommendation to provide grade level-appropriate lessons on how to stay safe online. The lessons will come from Common Sense Media, a nonprofit advocate for children and parents that focuses on the effects of media. The board of trustees heard a presentation on the lessons at the June 5 board meeting.

The special meeting will be held at 5:15 p.m. at the James Areida Education Support Center, 1305 E. Vine St., Lodi.
