Galt man in fatal accident on Highway 88 identified

Galt resident Dale Gene Jackson, 39, died in a single-vehicle accident on Highway 88 near Disch Road on Thursday evening, according to the California Highway Patrol.

He was traveling eastbound on the highway at an unknown rate of speed around 11:20 p.m. when the accident took place, police said. Jackson's identity was released to the public by the San Joaquin Sheriff's Department after his relatives were notified.

    i didnt get to spend much time with daie but when we did hang out like at the campout he always put a smile on everyones face and was the life of the party..!!! he will be missed bigtime and never forgotten.!! my heart and love go out to the family and especially to the kids..he lit up with pride and love whenever he spoke of then...rrip brother ..

    Dale was a good friend and had a huge heart. This is such a tragedy for his family. My thoughts and prayers are with them at this time.... I really hope people take this and learn from it.... PLEASE DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE && stop someone else from doing it too!
