The following is a list of public meetings in the Lodi and Galt areas this week:


Lodi City Council shirtsleeve

Key item: Receive a presentation on the 2012-13 fiscal budget, which starts July 1.

When and where: 7 a.m., Carnegie Forum, 305 W. Pine St., Lodi.

Lodi Unified School District Board of Trustees

Key items:

  • Host a public hearing on California School Employees Association. “Sunshine” proposal and notice of a successor agreement.
  • Announcement of teacher of the year and classified employee of the year awards.

When and where: 7 p.m. James Areida Education Support Center 1305 E. Vine St., Lodi.

Galt City Council

Key items:

  • $4.3 million construction contract for the Live Oak pump station project.
  • Temporary fee reduction incentive program to build new single-family residences.
  • Investment policy for 2012.

When and where: 7 p.m., Galt City Council chambers, 380 Civic Drive, Galt

Lodi Park and Recreation Commission

Key items:

  • Establish a picnic structure rental fee for the Fourth of July at Lodi Lake.
  • Discuss handball.

When and where: 7 p.m., Carnegie Forum, 305 W. Pine St., Lodi.

San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors

Key items:

  • Public hearing about proposed water service charges for the Wilkinson Manor Maintenance District and Morada North.
  • Annual report of county Mental Health Board.
  • Authorize up to $16,000 for continued advocacy efforts for the Delta Coalition, a group of city and county agencies to represent San Joaquin County’s interests regarding future use of the Delta.
  • Contract with Our Lady of Fatima Society for sheriff’s protection at rodeos or bloodless bullfights on May 20, June 10, July 8, Aug. 12, Sept. 9, Sept. 30, Oct. 20 and Oct. 22 at St. John’s Arena in Thornton. The society will be charged for actual hours worked by sheriff’s deputies, but the cost estimate is almost $22,000.
  • Report on the financial plan for the San Joaquin Council of Governments.
  • Resolution supporting establishment of a San Joaquin Valley Economic Development District.

When and where: 9 a.m., board chambers, 44 N. San Joaquin St., sixth floor, Stockton. Retirees and employees with long terms of service to be honored at 1:30 p.m.


Lodi City Council

Key items:

  • Receive a report on Fourth of July at the lake and discuss setting the special shelter rental rates at $500.
  • Adopt an ordinance offering a flat-rate ECA to industrial customers.
  • Adopt the action plan for the Community Development Block Grant funding for the 2012-13 fiscal year.

When and where: 7 p.m., Carnegie Forum, 305 W. Pine St., Lodi.
